MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) combines dual PIR sensors, intelligent motion analysis, and a built-in HDR camera to detect intrusions while dramatically reducing false alarms. When motion is detected, the detector can send Photo by Alarm, Photo on Demand, Photo by Scenario, and scheduled images to authorized users, allowing instant visual verification without continuous video recording. It detects motion at adjustable distances up to 15 meters (49 feet) and ignores animals up to 80 cm (31.5 inches) tall when installed correctly.
Using Ajax's encrypted Jeweller protocol for alarms and Wings for image transmission, MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) communicates with compatible Ajax Hubs over distances up to 1,700 meters (5,600 feet) in open space. The detector includes anti-masking technology, temperature compensation, tamper protection, an IP56 weather-resistant enclosure, and operates for up to 3 years on four pre-installed CR123A batteries.
