The Ajax MotionProtect Plus Jeweller is a professional-grade wireless indoor motion detector designed for environments where traditional PIR sensors may experience thermal interference. By combining a high-precision passive infrared (PIR) sensor with a K-band microwave sensor, MotionProtect Plus verifies every alarm, dramatically reducing false alarms caused by air conditioners, fireplaces, heating vents, ceiling fans, and moving curtains.

This product is the North & South American Frequency version designed for use in the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America. It is not compatible with Ajax systems operating on European frequencies.

MotionProtect Plus detects movement up to 39 ft (12 m) while intelligently ignoring pets weighing up to 44 lbs (20 kg) and up to 20 in (50 cm) tall when properly installed. The detector uses Ajax's encrypted Jeweller wireless protocol to communicate with compatible hubs at distances up to 3,900 ft (1,200 m) in open space, providing fast and secure alarm transmission.

Unlike conventional motion detectors, the integrated K-band microwave sensor activates only after the PIR sensor detects movement, confirming the event before generating an alarm. This dual-technology design provides exceptional reliability in rooms with fluctuating temperatures or moving air, making MotionProtect Plus the preferred choice for challenging indoor installations.

Installation is fast using Ajax's SmartBracket mounting system, while the Ajax Security System app allows remote configuration, diagnostics, firmware updates, and sensitivity adjustments without requiring onsite service visits. The included battery provides up to 5 years of operation under typical use.
