The detector immediately sends an alarm to a compatible Ajax Hub using Ajax's secure Jeweller encrypted wireless communication protocol. Once the water dries, the detector automatically reports that the area is dry, eliminating the need to manually reset the device. It can also be paired with the Ajax WaterStop to automatically shut off the water supply when a leak is detected, providing complete flood protection.

Unlike Wi-Fi water sensors, LeaksProtect communicates using the dedicated Ajax wireless network, allowing reliable operation even in locations where Wi-Fi coverage is weak or unavailable. With a wireless communication range of up to 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) in open space, an IP65 enclosure, and up to 5 years of battery life, it is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, utility rooms, water heaters, sinks, dishwashers, and commercial equipment rooms.
